#TB to last weekend’s hike. One of my best experiences!
On this exhausting but totally worth it trip, We got to experience every emotion there is.
• Pure excitement and motivation: On the two hours drive, every one of us was sure they could do everything it takes to get to our final destination. •Nervousness: Now that we arrived to the village, parked our cars, and got our (very heavy) bags, we finally begun to realize what we signed up for and there’s no turning back now. •Doubt: We’ve only been hiking for 20 mins, but most of us are already huffing and puffing. Can we really do this? •Determination: 2 hours in, things aren’t getting easier but they’re definitely becoming more manageable. We can do this! •Amazement: Looking at the majestic mountains, refreshing little rivers, and awe inspiring landscapes we’re beginning to realize it’s totally worth it.
•Panic: It’s been almost three hours now, the sun is almost down, but the waterfalls are nowhere to be seen yet. We should find a place to set up our tents and spend the night. • Relief: Tents are set up, a campfire is built, dinner is cooking... Suddenly we’re no longer thinking about how tiring the trip was. •Awe: Some of us decided to go down the hill near the water to watch the stars. I’ve never seen the sky look that beautiful. •Extreme fear/Hysterical laughter: While we were out of this world enjoying the view, the others decided it was a good idea to pull a prank and scare the hell out of us(girls). We hear some noise in the back, we turn our heads and there in the bushes was sitting the creepiest thing I’ve ever laid eyes on. I never thought I could scream that loud, or get scared that much. Long story short: some of us were crying and others were laughing their butts off. •Accomplishment: Early in the morning, we got out of our tents and into the woods again, after 15 mins we were finally there. The view was too good. And there’s no better feeling than knowing that we’ve earned it. The second day on our way back, the same road felt a lot easier. But the drive back home was a lot harder with two flat tires on one of the cars.
Looking back at it all, I would definitely do it again!
