RAMEN SHOW .
:
The Southwest part of the Valley is currently booming. House, shopping centers and restaurants are pooping left and right. The boom in restaurants is what I do enjoy, giving me more options. One of the better options that I have gotten is Ramen Show! .
.
Ramen Show takes the ramen spin differently from what we are used to. Chef Go went to Japan to study and sample different things that could be offered… and it is truly amazing. First of, they make their own ramen noodles which makes the experience better as you can taste the freshness. The ramen that I tried is called the TSUKEMEN. It is a thick barley noodles with pork-based dipping soup. Obviously not your traditional ramen since the broth is separate from the noodles acting like a dipping sauce. It is an elevated experience that I truly appreciate. It’s
Not only the experience but the bursting of flavors is not to be taken lightly. You have to definitely try it for yourself. .
.
A big big thank you to Chef Go and @thehungrylilmonkey for setting this gathering up. Shared this awesome dinner with my #vegasfoodiefam @sinfullyrealvegasvegan @casey.vegas.nv @nitinstableforone @ohsnapsfood and welcoming our new fam @two_platez .

#NewSpotAlert 🚨❗️yesterday was truly a BLAST if I must say so myself. Visited @eatatnara w/ @young_royboy & a few other friends to try something new. I had a lobster 🦞 & shrimp 🦐 entree w/ shrimp fried rice 🍚 & zucchini 🤤.... you know I love zucchini!!!! He had a trio entree of steak 🥩, chicken, & shrimp w/ chicken fried rice and vegtables... not only was the food really good here the service was to die for. I had a blast tossing broccoli 🥦 like the chef and taking sake shots even though I did try to tell the chef to stop lol. My little mouth was full I had to pull away 😂🤦🏾‍♀️ #MustVisit #foodwhoresdetroit #seafood #hibachi #funny #foodporn #foodie #letseat —————————————————————————

Comfortably seated, I looked through the menu. They have a section for Soups which includes Afang soup, Okro soup, Edikang soup, Egusi soup, Ogbono soup, Sea Food okro, White soup etc, proteins include Assorted (Goat meat and cow meat), beef, goat meat, cowleg, chicken, shaki, snails, gizzard, fish (Tilapia, stockfish, croaker, titus, calabar fresh fish), and of course, swallow such as, semo, garri and wheat to go with the soups. They serve rice too, native rice, jollof rice, fried rice, coconut rice, etc. They also serve porridge (yam, beans and plantain) and side dishes like pepper soup(with option of fish and snail), isiewu (goat head), isiazu(fish), liver and kidney sauce, vegetable salad, Sauce (goat, fresh fish, chicken, snail), chips and egg, and last but not least a dish they call Fuschia special. Their drinks include: cocktails, chapman, Long island Iced Tea, etc. Wow right?? Well, since I wanted to go “Ibile”, i decided to try their Semo and Afang soup. To be honest, I was wowed!! The semo was well made, soft and smooth just the way I like it. The soup is rich and well garnished, it gave me goose bumps and brought back childhood memories of my calabar aunt we used to visit during festive seasons (good times!!). The protein was well seasoned, Damn!! Had to applaud the Chef and tip the courteous waiter. To cool off, I ordered their Long island Iced Tea mix, and yes, I was bedazzled.

Well, after my visit, I had to share this new discovery with my friends and of course they were swept off their feet. I highly recommended this restaurant to everyone who loves African local dishes or would love to try it, trust me you will not regret anything you order from Fuschia Restaurant. It is warm, cozy, private and serene. I had a blast and I’m certain you will too. CHEERS TO THE GOOD LIFE!!! Host @woye1 #woyesmealtime

Birth in a country with diverse ethnicity, well you know that means different backgrounds, languages, fashion and of course, a variety of dishes. Regardless of the fact that there has been a decline in the African cultural heritage, Nigerians seem to be holding on tight to theirs especially in regards to their cuisines and dishes, and have found a way to repackage, modify and improve the taste and quality of their dishes.

After having a great day, ladened with good news, I decided to go all “IBILE” and treat myself to some local dishes.  Driving through Aminu Crescent, Wuse, Abuja. I spotted a Native restaurant, called Fuschia Restaurant @fuschiarestaurant Plot 130 Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja. Intrigued by the name and the serene environment, I decided to walk in and trust me, I was blown away.
The interior décor is distinctive, simple but unique. It is spacious and well ventilated. The painting is artistic and garishing, giving the environment a vibrant and lively look. The seats are comfortable and well-arranged. The tables are well placed and decorated with beautiful table mats and small flower vases. It comes with so much serenity, you just have to sit, relax and enjoy the serenity. Their staffs are very professional and friendly, they welcome and usher you with a smile. For photo enthusiasts like myself, they are on stand-by and are passionate about taking exceptional image shots, getting the angles right.

I am happy to have come across Cafe Chocolat Et Patissierie at 3b Cairo Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja. You can easily spot the cafe from afar as the name is beautifully inscribed on the window outside. You know the "feeling" that comes with a beautiful ambience; that is how I felt when I saw the ambience of the cafe and my mood brightened up immediately!

Their customer service is really mind blowing the way they interact with their customers is second to none. As a lover of tea "sometimes" I had mint tea, mocha tea and ice tea with strawberry cake (this has got to be the most sumptuous cake I've ever tasted in recent time, it had just the right amount of ingredients, and the taste was perfect). Did I mention that the name of the main Restaurant is Crossover Restaurant and Cafe Chocolat is a subsidiary? (My bad) Crossover Restaurant is a continental and African restaurant. The restaurant is upstairs while the Cafe is downstairs.

Their food is so nice and affordable. At Crossover Restaurant, they serve breakfast, buffet on special days and their dessert is to die for. They serve appetizers such as chicken pepper soup Apple celery slaw, puff puff with mince meat and pepper jam. Their main dishes includes basmati rice in roasted bell, pepper pesto herbs and chillies, coconut rice and peas with dry fish and thyme, sweet and sour chicken sauce with pineapple and local tomatoes, beef and yam casseroles, moi moi in banana leaves,Egusi and poundo!! And they serve desserts like; fruits with seasonal veggies and honey, peanut butter mousse pots, banana and chocolate sponge cakes!
I can categorically tell you that you cannot and will not regret anything you order from Cafe Chocolat and Crossover Restaurant. I had a blast and got to take my goons to have a taste of good food, they are in the comment section testifying. I will be visiting again soon and I might be going with you...who knows 🤷🏾‍♀️ @cafechocolatabuja I RECOMMEND
